our clients, we engage in rigorous hiring practices
that involve testing for English proficiency and analytic
ability. Potential
candidates pass through background checks and must
sign a confidentiality agreement prior to employment. We
continue to invest in the potential of our staff attorneys
by providing on-going training on a variety of document
databases, U.S. legal subjects and litigation support
technologies. The
end result is a full-time, highly trained and motivated
legal staff eager to address client needs.
Meet some of our attorneys: |
 Gayathri gained strong analytical abilities and writing skills during her four years working with Fidelity Investments and The Vaswani Group (Property Developers) in Bangalore. She also has experience with intellectual property rights, including registration, filing opposition and drafting assignment agreements for trademarks. Gayathri worked with a Bangalore LPO for just under a year where she was part of a team that undertook intensive research assignments, including compilation of international laws and drafting legal memoranda. Gayathri completed her law degree in 2004 from Symbiosis Society's Law College. Gayathri assists with attorney-client and work product privilege training.

 Faisal has more than three years
of litigation experience. His
prior work includes researching and writing a wide
variety of copyright and property law matters, as well
as drafting contracts and negotiable instruments. He
has appeared before the Indian Supreme Court and the
Delhi High Court. Faisal completed his Bachelors
of Law at the Aligarh Muslim University (5 year integrated
program) in 2003, and is enrolled with the Bar Council
of Delhi. Faisal helps train new team members
as to the U.S. Federal Rules of Civil Procedure with
a focus on discovery.

 Lalitha is an advocate with the
Bar Council of Tamil Nadu, appearing before the High
Court of Madras and representing clients before other
tribunals and regulatory authorities. Lalitha
was with HSB Partners for six years, one of the leading
law firms in Chennai, where she represented clients,
including Standard Chartered Bank, UCO Bank, Binny
Engineering Ltd., and Hindustan Motors Ltd. Lalita
was previously part of a BPO legal team that provided
assistance to a large U.S. law firm. In
addition to her excellent research and writing skills,
Lalitha has managed a team to provide outsourcing services
in the areas of patent, contracts, and litigation support.
Lalitha received her Bachelors of Law from the University
of Madras, has a Diploma in Labor Welfare, and presently
is pursuing her Masters of Law. Lalitha assists
with training India team members as to privilege and
quality control.

 Priya was a Lecturer-in-Law at Pimpri
Law College in Pune, where she taught Transfer of Property
Law, Indian Easement Law, Indian Contract Law and a
course on the Indian Partnership Act. In addition to
teaching, Priya has two years experience working in
the LPO sector, where her focus was research, article
writing and case summaries. Priya graduated from the
University of Pune (2005) specializing in International
Law and Human Rights. Priya helps train new team members
as to the U.S. Federal Rules of Civil Procedure with
a focus on discovery.

 Rajesh was most recently a Senior Associate with Xcite Corp Services Private Limited. He began his legal career as an in-house attorney for GMR Infrastructure Limited, a leading infrastructure development organization in India. Rajesh specializes in drafting infrastructure and IT sector contracts such as commercial loan documents, mezzanine financing documents, due diligence reports for project acquisitions, group divestments and corporate restructuring. Rajesh earned his Bachelors of Law degree from the University of Madras, and has more than 6 years of professional work experience in the corporate industry and ITES Sector. Rajesh also supports testing new software platforms and project-specific software training.

 Suresh has four years of professional work experience that includes practicing before the High Court of Madras, and litigation support services in the LPO sector. He has two years of corporate, banking, intellectual property, securities, and maritime experience with the law firm of King and Partridge in Chennai. He has more than two years of litigation support, research and drafting experience in the LPO sector. Suresh earned his Bachelors of Law from the Tamil Nadu Dr. Ambedkar Law University, Chennai. He has also earned a Diploma in Information Technology Management from IIMT, Chennai, and a Certificate in Cyber Laws from Asian School of Cyber laws. Suresh was an active state and national level moot court participant, receiving numerous best placement awards for his outstanding performance. Suresh assists with legal writing training with a focus on U.S. legal writing styles and Bluebook rules.

and provide litigation support for large multinational
corporations engaged in legal disputes. Now, I get
to apply my skills to U.S. litigation matters, and
I also have the opportunity to be at my home town
and work with a great team of colleagues, who are
from different parts of India, and each of whom brings
with them a lot of experience in different fields
of law."
 Unnathi's areas of expertise include
e-discovery, document and data management, IP searching
and licensing, and e-commerce security. She gained
experience researching legal issues utilizing Westlaw
and Lexis, and drafting research memoranda and documents
to be filed in U.S. court from previous work with a
BPO. Unnathi
has a Bachelors of Law degree from Dr. Ambedkar Law
University, Chennai, and a Masters of Science in Cyber
Law and Information Securities from the Indian Institute
of Information Technology, Allahabad (IIITA), where
she participated in special training on computer forensics.
Unnathi helps keep the India team up to date on e-discovery
developments and software implementation.

 Zainab has more than five years experience in litigation, corporate matters and legal outsourcing. Before joining Cobra, she worked with a LPO, where she gained substantial experience in U.S. legal research utilizing Lexis and Westlaw. She assisted U.S.-licensed attorneys with estate planning packets, e-discovery, copyright infringement and domain infringement issues. She has practiced before the Supreme Court of India and the Delhi High Court. Her practice area involves litigation as well as mergers and acquisitions. Zainab received her law degree with honors from Aligarh Muslim University where the law faculty awarded her as the "Most Talented Girl" in 1997. Zainab assists with legal writing training with a focus on U.S. legal writing styles and grammar.
